This four-day program combines Central Java's major Buddhist and Hindu monuments with the royal heritage of Yogyakarta and Solo and a volcanic experience around Mount Merapi. The journey includes Borobudur, Mendut, Mangkunegaran, Triwindu Market, Danar Hadi Batik Museum, Prambanan, Kraton Yogyakarta, Taman Sari, and a Lava Jeep experience.
Activities:
After arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport, you will meet your guide and transfer to Borobudur Temple. The monument's terraces and Buddhist architectural details form the first major heritage experience.
The program continues to Mendut Temple, a 9th-century Buddhist temple with a notable Buddha statue. Together, the two sites provide an introduction to the region's Buddhist history.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before transfer to the hotel for check-in.
Activities:
After breakfast, you depart for Solo and visit Pura Mangkunegaran, an 18th-century royal palace reflecting classical Javanese architecture and royal heritage.
The program continues to Triwindu Market and the Danar Hadi Batik Museum, introducing you to antique collections and the cultural heritage of Indonesian batik.
On the return to Yogyakarta, you will visit Prambanan Temple before lunch and return to the hotel.
Activities:
The day begins with a city tour of Yogyakarta, including Kraton Yogyakarta and a traditional market. These visits provide insight into the city's royal heritage and everyday local activities.
Then you will visit Taman Sari before lunch. The historic water complex was once associated with the Sultan and his family.
In the afternoon, you will join a Lava Jeep adventure on the slopes of Mount Merapi, where the landscape reflects the effects of previous volcanic eruptions.
Activities:
After breakfast at the hotel, you wil prepare for departure. The morning is reserved for check-out and the transfer to the airport.
The journey continues to Yogyakarta International Airport according to the onward flight schedule.
