This four-day program explores Central Java's Buddhist and Hindu heritage together with the highland landscapes around Mount Lawu. The itinerary combines Borobudur and Mendut with Sukuh Temple, Cetho Temple, Kemuning Tea Plantation, Yogyakarta's royal heritage, and Prambanan.
Activities:
Upon arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport, you will meet your guide and transfer to Borobudur Temple. The monument's terraces, reliefs, and stupas introduce the Buddhist heritage of Central Java.
The journey continues to Mendut Temple, a 9th-century Buddhist temple with a notable Buddha statue. The two temples form the main heritage focus of the first day.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before transfer to the hotel.
Activities:
After breakfast, the journey heads toward the slopes of Mount Lawu in Karanganyar. The first visit is Sukuh Temple, a 15th-century Hindu temple known for its distinctive pyramid-like form and late Majapahit-era symbolism.
The program continues to Cetho Temple, another terraced Hindu complex set in the mountain area. Then you will continue to Kemuning Tea Plantation, where green tea fields form part of the highland landscape.
Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before returning to Yogyakarta.
Activities:
After breakfast, you will explore Yogyakarta beginning with Kraton Yogyakarta and a traditional market. The program combines royal heritage with an opportunity to observe local daily activities.
The journey continues to Taman Sari before proceeding to Prambanan Temple. The Hindu temple complex dates from the 9th century and is dedicated to the Trimurti.
Lunch will be served during the program before returning to the hotel.
Activities:
After breakfast at the hotel, you wil prepare for departure. The morning is reserved for check-out and the transfer to the airport.
The journey continues to Yogyakarta International Airport according to the onward flight schedule.
The program ends at the airport.
