Alor is one of Indonesia’s last untouched frontiers, offering an extraordinary journey back to raw culture and pristine marine life. This curated program connects travelers with the island's most legendary wonders: from dancing with the traditional Takpala tribe and viewing the centuries-old tree-bark Al-Qur'an, to swimming near the rare dugongs of Sika Island and sailing private wooden boats to the crystal-clear waters of Ling Al Beach.
Perfectly structured from quick 4-day escapes to immersive 7-day expeditions, our 2025 programs deliver flawless local execution, rich cultural insight, and breathtaking island adventures.
Your adventure begins the moment you touch down at Mali Airport. After a warm welcome, you will head straight to Sika Island for a rare and magical opportunity to witness Alor's famous, gentle dugongs swimming in their natural habitat. Following a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, the journey dives deep into local culture with an exploration of Takpala Village, where ancient traditions remain perfectly alive. As the day winds down, watch the sky turn golden with a breathtaking sunset at Batu Putih Beach, followed by dinner at a local restaurant before checking into your hotel.

After breakfast, start your day exploring the region's rich history at the 1,000 Moko Museum. Next, travel to Kabola Village, where you will witness the remarkable indigenous craft of making and wearing clothing purely out of tree bark. After enjoying lunch at a local restaurant, visit Alor Besar to marvel at a priceless sacred relic: an ancient Al-Qur'an also beautifully handcrafted from tree bark. Conclude the evening by watching a serene sunset at Aimoli and enjoying a hearty local dinner before returning to the hotel.

Power up with breakfast before traveling to Alor Kecil harbor. Here, you will step aboard a private local wooden boat to cruise across the sea to the stunning, remote Ling Al Beach. Spend your day soaking up the sun, swimming, and enjoying various beach activities in this secluded paradise. A fresh lunch will be served right on the island. In the afternoon, sail back to Alor Kecil, return to your hotel to refresh, and head out for dinner at a local restaurant.

Following breakfast, you will return to Alor Kecil for another exciting island expedition. Board your private wooden boat to cross over to Ternate Island, home to crystal-clear waters perfect for marine exploration and beach relaxation. After an island-style lunch, cruise back to the mainland to visit a traditional Ikat Weaving Studio. Here, you will observe the meticulous, artistic process of weaving masterpieces guided by local experts Mama Sariat and Tuti Panjaitan. Cap off your final evening with dinner at a local restaurant.

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel and take some time to pack your memories. After checking out, your driver will provide a seamless transfer back to Mali Airport for your flight home, bringing a wonderful conclusion to your Alor expedition.
