This 5-day private-boat journey through Tanjung Puting combines orangutan observation, rainforest walks, wildlife spotting, river exploration, village visits, and canoeing. You will spend four nights aboard a Kelotok houseboat while moving through the Sekonyer River area, Camp Leakey, Pondok Tanggui, Sungai Buluh, and Sekonyer Village.

Upon arrival in Pangkalan Bun, You will be transferred to Kumai to board the Kelotok. The journey follows the Kumai River before continuing toward the Sekonyer River, an estuarine environment with mangrove vegetation.
The first main wildlife stop is Tanjung Harapan Camp, where orangutan feeding is scheduled at around 3:00 pm. Along the river, you may also observe proboscis monkeys, long-tailed macaques, red-leaf monkeys, silvered langurs, and birdlife.
After the observation, the boat continues upstream and looks for a suitable overnight location. You can relax aboard the Kelotok while continuing to observe the surrounding river environment.

After lunch, you will visit the orangutan observation site at around 2:00 pm. Those who prefer to skip the observation may continue downstream by boat, where proboscis monkeys and other wildlife may be observed along the riverbanks.
The boat continues along the river around sunset. A night walk at Camp Leakey may be arranged as an additional activity, subject to operational conditions.

Activities:

After returning to the boat for lunch, the program continues with orangutan feeding observation at around 2:00 pm. This provides another opportunity to observe orangutans within the Tanjung Puting area.
Later, the Kelotok cruises downstream toward the Sekonyer River around sunset. A short night walk to look for nocturnal animals is included in the day's program, staying overnight on the boat.

Activities:
After breakfast, the boat cruises to Pondok Tanggui for an orangutan observation session beginning at around 9:00 am. You can also take a short jungle walk or choose to focus on birds, insects, plants, and opportunities to observe wildlife in a more natural setting.
After lunch, the journey continues downstream toward Sekonyer Village. The village is located beside Tanjung Puting National Park, and you can take a short walk to observe local daily life before continuing to the black-water river.
The afternoon is spent exploring Sungai Buluh by small boat and canoe, accompanied by local villagers and the Pokdarwis group. The program continues with river wildlife spotting and sunset cruising before the boat finds a suitable place to stay overnight.

Activities:
After breakfast, the boat cruises through the Sekonyer River and continues downstream toward Kumai. Lunch is provided on the boat.
The journey continues for approximately two hours while wildlife spotting remains possible along the river. You can enjoy coffee aboard the boat and look for wildlife, including orangutans that may be seen foraging near the riverbank.
